ZIP 89085 is the far northwest corner of North Las Vegas, north of Aliante and Grand Teton Drive, where new subdivisions are still being built up to the edge of Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument. Decatur Boulevard, North 5th Street and Deer Springs Way carry traffic south to the 215 Beltway, which is the connection to Interstate 15 on the east and US 95 on the west. Nellis Air Force Base is reached by way of the Beltway east. The national monument on the ZIP’s northern edge preserves Ice Age fossil beds, and Aliante’s golf course, nature park and casino resort are immediately to the south.
Homes are almost all new or nearly new single-family houses, many with the larger lots and pools that the outer edge of the valley allows. Nearly every neighborhood is HOA-governed, with master associations still in their early years and standards still being set. Tenants are typically relocating families and households who want new construction at the north end of the valley. Schools belong to the Clark County School District.
